With any billing concerns feel free to contact us at: (602) 730 – 1230
We contract with most insurance companies and only bill your insurance after providing service to you after your discharge to home. Insurance requires us to contact you within two business days after you discharge to home. Our goal is to help assist with issues after your discharge home until you can follow up with your surgeon and primary care provider. This may be related to medication issues, test results or just general questions about if you are healing as expected. Sometimes emergencies still arise and we will try to coordinate your care with your surgeon and hospital or emergency room when able.
If you do have a co-pay or have not met your deductible yet, you may see a bill to your insurance for United Physicians Group LLC. If you feel you have been billed in error, or do not think the service was appropriate then please contact us. It is an insurance requirement that we initiate contact shortly after returning home in order for you to qualify for Transitional Care Medicine. For patients that progress extremely well this may seem unnecessary in hindsight, but we would rather have our providers get to know you while you are feeling well, rather than try to understand all your medical history while you are experiencing an acute event and feeling ill. Establishing a baseline of your health while you are doing well helps the provider pick up on subtle signs to treat the new event.
